Natalie & Andrew :: 12-28-2019 :: Wedding in San Dimas

We had SO much fun with Natalie and Andrew on their amazing day! These two got married on a cool and breezy day at the Stanley Plummer Building in San Dimas-- the same place her sister and brother in law got married seven years before! They really meshed their classic/botanic/succulent theme easily with this blank slate location! Our day began with some detail and getting ready shots at Natalie and Andrew's apartment near by. After helping me with some details, Tim headed over to a local hotel to capture the groom and his men getting ready. Once everyone was dressed, we headed over to Horsethief Park in San Dimas where we did some separate portraits of the bride and groom and their party. The ceremony followed shortly after and was filled with with prayer, personal vows and a very sweet first look! Family and more bridal party portraits followed the ceremony and then we were sure to take photos in the magical winter golden hour light with the new Mr. and Mrs..  The reception decor featured exceptional florals, beer jug vessels, lawn games and beautiful cake. Upon entering their reception, the couple danced, had dinner and took a photo with every table, and danced with their parents. When night fell, everyone danced the night away in-between the garter and bouquet tosses and the cake cutting. At the end of our time with them, we snuck the newlyweds away for a epic end of the night shot out on the front of the venue. This was such a splendid day celebrating such a beautiful and loving couple and it was an honor to create their personal florals (bouquets and boutonnieres in addition to photographing this amazing day----what a great way to end our 2019 wedding season!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
