Joan & Carlos :: 8-5-12 :: Wedding in Chino

Joan and Carlos had such a unique and fabulous wedding. They only became engaged right before the fourth of July and decided to get married on a special date, Carlos parents' anniversary. Instead of waiting a year and a month, they decided to plan the wedding in a whole month! There were only 10 people in attendance at the wedding, including the bride and groom, their immediate family and the pastor so it was quite small and beautifully intimate. There were a lot of DIY and homemade elements, including the strawberry vegan cake made by her sister-in-law. They incorporated a superhero and comic book theme into all elements into the wedding, including the decorations and clothing colors, the boutonnieres/corsages which were bottle cap pins with comic book characters and phrases, the invitations (which were more of keepsakes since they didn't have time to mail them) and the cake. It was such a delight to be a part of their day and document their lives and their families coming together on their special day.

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
