Erica & Michael :: 4-13-13 :: Wedding in Sylmar

Erica and Michael had such a beautiful wedding! After being together for 6 years, this day was a long time coming and it was so wonderful to witness their two daughters be a part of their special day. The number 13 is unlucky to some, but it is their lucky number as it was the date they first met, the date when they got engaged, the date of our engagement session and now the date of their wedding! After a beautiful Mass at St. Didacus Church, we took many of our posed pictures across the street from where everyone got ready at the beautiful home of one of the gracious neighbors. It was such a lovely setting. As a gift to the couple, family members reserved low-rider vintage hot rods to transport the wedding party throughout the day. The cars had sirens to announce the arrival of the bridal party at each location. Michael and Erica love gambling and the lottery, so they bought scratcher lottery tickets as favors for their guests. This wedding was full of fun-loving people and it was such a delight to capture their celebrations.

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
