Melissa & Esteban :: 4-27-13 :: Wedding in San Juan Capistrano
Melissa and Esteban's wedding was a day full of pure joy. Melissa has been a friend of both Tim and I for a long time, so it was such a delight to participate in their wedding day by both designing their invitations and being their photographers. After starting off the day getting ready at the Vintage Steakhouse (their reception site), we headed to the Los Rios Historical district so Melissa and Esteban could see each other before the ceremony. Their first look was full of happiness, love and blissful tears of joy, as their wedding day was finally here! It was one of our first first looks, and it was truly wonderful to be able to spend some quality time with them, capturing their love and joy before the festivities of the day began. Their beautiful wedding Mass was held at the San Juan Capistrano Mission Basilica, a stunningly gorgeous adobe church. We then visited the Mission's historic grounds which created a marvelous background for family photos and some more portraits of the lovely couple. Back at the Vintage Steakhouse, which had been decorated with papel picado banners and succulents, the party really got started with many touching speeches and fun, lively dancing. To wish them well on their way, the guests tossed colorful streamers overhead as the newlyweds departed. Thanks to the wonderful Allison Oh for being my third shooter and polaroid photographer! :)
