Amanda & Levi :::: Engagement Session on Catalina Island

Amanda and Levi are just so incredibly wonderful, and we are so thrilled that we got to spend the entire day with them! Levi lives and works full-time at the airport on Catalina Island and Amanda lives part-time on the island and part-time on the mainland where she goes to school. We met them last Sunday on a chilly morning in Avalon after a brisk boat ride to the island. Levi drove us into the interior of the island, where most tourists do not get to travel since it is a protected property. On our ride, Amanda and Levi educated us about their beautiful island home and we stopped at various points along the way to take photos. We began at a point on the island called the "Summit," then proceeded to the Catalina "Airport in the Sky" where we had lunch and took some more photos at the end of the runway. Next we drove down to Shark Harbor where luckily there aren't many sharks, but there is a beautiful rocky beach up against a brush canyon. Finally, on our way back to Avalon to catch our boat home, we stopped at an old, abandoned stagecoach station to take a few more photos. I also brought along a pack of polaroids for the day, which turned out fantastically! We had such an amazing time with this beautiful couple, and we cannot wait to continue working with them to design their invitation suite and shoot their wedding in March!
