Liz & Jonathan :: 1-10-2014 :: Wedding in San Marcos


What a joyous and romantic day! Liz and Jonathan's wedding was held at the beautiful Twin Oaks Estate in San Marcos. We started the day by getting some detail and getting ready shots. Liz did her make-up and hair and got dressed in the yellow vintage school-house building on the venue's grounds. After she was dressed and donned her green stockings (an homage to her favorite book, Peter Pan), I took some photos with Liz and the girls while Tim took some photos with Jonathan and his groomsmen. As the sun was beginning to sparkle and set, Liz and Jonathan exchanged vows under a white gazebo surrounded by beautiful, tall eucalyptus trees. After the ceremony, we took photos all around the gorgeous estate which included manicured gardens, an orange grove and a greenhouse. Then we headed to the beautiful reception tent for toasts, a delicious dinner and lots of dancing! The decor included toy trucks on the table, an homage to Jonathan's love of off-roading. After most of the reception events had ended, we snuck off with the newlyweds to get a few magical shots under the green, sparkling arches in the garden. After the last song, the couple made their getaway in Jonathan's beefed-up Suzuki Samurai. Here's to many more adventures in their life together!

We also took polaroids throughout the day, and there were quite a few that turned out amazingly well!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
