Margaretha & Daniel :: 1-19-2014 :: Wedding in Redlands

Margaretha and Daniel----wow! What a beautiful wedding! These two are so sweet, and they are actual high school sweethearts! We started out the date with Margaretha and Daniel photographing various details and their final getting ready process. As she was putting on her final touches, Margaretha received a gift from Daniel: some Lindt chocolate truffles and his best wishes for calm nerves. So cute :) Next we took pictures of the guys and gals around the exterior of their venue, the historic Mitten Building in Redlands. The outdoor patio ceremony was short and sweet, full of prayers, blessings and, of course, their beautiful vows. There was no ring exchange as they have made the choice not to wear wedding rings. After the ceremony we took family photos and then headed back to the exterior of the Mitten Building for some bridal party photos.  We took the happy couple across the street to the historic Redlands train depot for a few more wonderful pictures. Next we headed back the reception for dinner, toasts, and the bouquet toss. We had our youngest ever "bachelorette" catch the bouquet! Finally, instead of cutting cake, Margaretha and Daniel cut a lemon meringue pie! The guests enjoyed a variety of delicious pies for dessert. We had a fantastic time with the lovely couple, their family, and their friends. Congratulations to Margaretha and Daniel!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
