Katherine & Andrew :::: Engagement Session at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art

We had such a wonderful time with Katherine and Andrew at LACMA! This was where they went on their first date so it was so special to return for their engagement session. Katherine wore the dress she was originally planning on wearing for their wedding but she has since been talked into a white dress ;) She also wore a necklace and earrings that were gifts from Andrew on each of their anniversaries together and on their last anniversary he gave her a beautiful black diamond engagement ring! It is one of the most beautiful and unique rings that I have ever photographed :) We spent most of the session laughing and joking with these two - they are so funny :) LACMA has so many different types of back-drops and we loved exploring the exterior of this wonderful museum. We are SO thrilled to be photographing their wedding in August!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
