Monica & Aldo :::: Engagement Session at the Staples Center

Monica and Aldo wanted to do their session at the place they met: the Staples Center! They met when they were invited to come to a basketball game with mutual friends. They immediately liked each other and even sat next to each other during the game. They got to talking at halftime and found out just how much they had in common (aw!) After dating a while, they decided they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together :) Last Saturday morning we met up with these two outside the normally busy Staples Center. Despite the Stanley Cup games, the Staples Center and immediate area including the Los Angeles Convention Center was largely deserted which made conditions perfect for our session. These two are so very sweet with one another and as you can see from the photos, they love, love to laugh together! They got officially married earlier this year but will be having a formal wedding in September. Unfortunately we are unavailable to shoot their wedding, but I am sure we will be seeing more of these two in the future ;)

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
