Kelly & Joshua :::: Engagement Session at Heritage Park, Santa Fe Springs

We love these two! Kelly and Joshua met at Starbucks over 3 years ago and got engaged on the beach last November. They have so much fun together and we love spending time talking with them, in fact at our first meeting we spent almost three hours talking :D For their engagement session we went to the beautiful Heritage Park in Santa Fe Springs which features a historic greenhouse, windmill and orange grove. It is an absolutely gorgeous location! When we were talking about what feel they wanted for their engagement session, Kelly inspired me to create some flower crowns as a beautiful additional prop. She is my first client to wear one and I am so excited to be providing them as an option to my brides (I am even making a custom one for a bride next year!). We also used one of my other favorite props, the chalkboard heart. We are SO excited to shoot their wedding next year!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
