Shaina & Aaron :::: Engagement Session in Laguna Beach

Shaina and Aaron are such a fun couple! They met in a bar (yup!) in Laguna Beach and since that city holds so many special memories for them, we did their session there :) We met first at Ocean Avenue Brewery to take a couple of photos in front of the bar where they met and then went to Victoria Beach for the majority of their session. This beach features an old, Victorian lighthouse type structure, built in 1926 as a spiral staircase connecting the beach to the residence above. So magical! Shaina and Aaron also wanted to incorporate Aaron's sweet daughter Lily into their session as they are creating a family together, and we think this was such a wonderful idea! We used some fun props for their session: our ampersand, S & A in Shaina and Aaron's wedding colors (which they were also wearing!) and the sweet banner made for their engagement party! It was such a beautiful overcast day in Laguna, so we had such soft, beautiful lighting in the photos :) We are SO excited for the wedding in May!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
