Scarlett & Danny :::: Engagement Session at Santiago Oaks Regional Park

These two met though friends who set them up on a blind date! Pretty funny, how often do blind dates work out? Pretty well in this case!! :) Scarlett and Danny recently moved to Texas and have been missing the forests and mountains we have in Southern California. So when they were planning their engagement session with me, they wanted to incorporate their love for spending time in nature and wanted to embrace the autumn season. Since our autumn season isn't super colorful, they wanted to bring some bright colors into the session through their props, attire and blanket to really contrast against the backgrounds. We wrote "Better Together" on their chalkboard because it is from one of their favorite Jack Johnson songs! I thought this was such a neat idea! And then "Lub You" was spelled out in Scabble tiles because it was something that they started to say to one another as an inside joke and it stuck! Just a few things that makes this sweet couple unique! We can't wait to photograph their wedding on 12-13-14 next month!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
