Tais & Max :: Anniversary Session :: Year Two

We always have such a blast with Tais and Max! These two have become our wonderful friends when met them last year for their first anniversary session. They first came to us with the idea to do themed anniversary sessions for every year of their marriage and of course we jumped at the idea! Their first session had a paper theme, following after the traditional anniversary gifts and this year the theme gift is cotton! So naturally they came up with the amazing idea to shoot their "Cotton Anniversary" in the cottony snow of the Sierra Mountains, specifically, Mammoth Mountain! We brought along some cotton-themed props including a Tais's fabulously fluffy dress and red boots, a bouquet and boutonnière featuring raw cotton, cattails and roses (designed by me, the wanna-be florist!), soft tulle that these two could wrap up in to keep out the cold, cotton candy (of course!) and some chalkboards also designed and written out by yours truly :) After a day of travel from Southern California, we started out their session in the mid afternoon up on the side of the mountain where we had dramatic views of the mountainside and valley below. Then we headed back down to a wooded area for some more romantic and fun shots of these two enjoying the snow and cotton candy. Cheers to Tais and Maxwell and two years of wedded bliss!!
