Ely & Paul :: 5-29-2015 :: Wedding in Bellflower and Glendale

Ely and Paul are such a beautiful couple, and after 10 years together (and knowing each other since grade school!), they were bound to have wonderful and beautiful wedding! They had a beautifully executed honeycomb theme throughout their day from their DIY DVD "invitations" to their favors, decor and cake! :) I also brought along some honeycomb cut outs for some extra detail shots of the "invitations" and jewelry. I love when couples have such a great theme! We began the day at Ely and Paul's duplex house to capture some of the getting ready moments with Ely and Paul, their families and bridal party. Both Ely and Paul did a first look with their bridal party, which was sweet and so much fun! Ely (and Paul!) had a super cool ride to take them to and fro on their wedding day, and it amazingly matched with their wedding colors! :) After the Mass at St. Bernard Church, (with some cute signs held by their flower girls) we took pictures outside the church of the wedding party and the happy couple. I had such a fabulous time making some fun chalkboards for these two, with the hearts being a surprise for Paul! Afterwards, we headed to the Royal Palace Banquet Hall, for their amazing reception.  The reception began with the bride and groom making their grand entrance and doing an amazing choreographed dance to the top 10 songs for the 10 years Ely and Paul were together before the big day! It was sooooooo cool!  The toasts and dances were incredibly sweet, and the garter and bouquet toss were so much fun :) To many more years of Ely and Paul! :D

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
