Pauline & Jon :: 5-23-2015 :: Wedding in Los Angeles

The amount of cuteness from Pauline and Jon was just overwhelmingly good :) This day was so unconventional in so many ways! The entire bridal party started off their day getting ready together in an Air BnB loft in Downtown Los Angeles. It was a little strange to see the bride and groom both getting ready in the same space, but it made it so fun! However, after make-up and hair were done, the groom was no longer allowed to see the bride until their first look ;) While Pauline was getting laced into her dress we realized that her hoop under her dress was going to be too long! Luckily the scissors were on hand making for an easy fix :) It was such a cute moment! These two decided to keep things practical by having everyone in their wedding wear all black dresses and suits that could be easily worn again to anything. So smart! After everyone was dressed, Pauline and Jon stole away for a few moments for them to do a first look in a stairwell. These two were so sweet once the saw each other in their wedding best and it was such a quiet moment. After the first look we traveled over to their venue, Pauline's grandparent's home-church in Los Angeles,  Choong Hyun Mission Church for some bridal party and bride and groom portraits. The amazing flowers for the bridal party and decor were assembled and designed by Pauline's grandmother :) After photos were completed, these two exchanged vows and rings and were finally husband and wife! Their dads are both pastors, so the ceremony was officiated by both dads, so wonderful! After family portraits, the bridal party and newlyweds joined the party where their guests were enjoying Korean and Mexican cuisine and instead of a wedding cake; a donut bar! Their reception very simple: no toasts, dances or formal events, but these two did participate in a traditional Korean Tea Ceremony. As part of the ceremony, the bride and groom bow to different family members and then receive advice on marriage from those family members. At the end of the ceremony, to show his strength, the groom has to carry the bride around piggy-back style! We loved every moment of this wedding and it was such a delight to photograph this wonderful day!
