Amber & Luis :: 8-16-2015 :: Wedding in San Clemente

Amber and Luis had such a beautiful and fun wedding day! The wedding was held at the beautiful Casino San Clemente near the ocean. We started the day by getting some detail and getting ready shots while Amber and her girls were pampered by their lovely makeup artist in the venue's lovely bridal suite. After everyone was dressed (how gorgeous are the ombre bridesmaid dresses?) I took some photos with Amber and the girls while Tim took some photos with Luis and his groomsmen. As the sun was beginning to sparkle and set lighting up their ceremony space, Amber and Luis exchanged vows in the back garden of the venue. As part of the ceremony, these two watered a bonsai with water from their favorite locations to symbolize their two lives coming together as one. So unique and special!  After the ceremony, we took photos all around Casino San Clemente and the surrounding area with their bridal party and the newlyweds. Then we headed to the central part of the dome-shaped building for toasts, a delicious dinner and lots of dancing! The decor included table numbers with names inspired by important elements of their lives such as where they first met (Medieval Times) to their favorite things to do together to unique parts of each of their lives. We had SO much fun at this wedding and it was such a pleasure to be a part of the day from designing their ombre invitations to the fun engagement session with their sweet pup Buttons, to being a part of this gorgeous day! We wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Cortez all the love in the world!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
