Amanda & Matt :: 1-23-2016 :: Wedding in Laguna Beach

Amanda and Matt's day was simply lovely! They had a morning ceremony with a lunch reception, so our day started bright and early at their venue, the Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach. We spent some time documenting their details and then each of them getting ready. Amanda got ready in her suite overlooking the courtyard where her ceremony would take place. After she donned her dress and her bridal Converse (love a bride who want's to be comfy!) she did a sweet first look with her dad and brother. So sweet! When walking in, the guests were greeted by a beautifully decorated courtyard, their florist was amazing! We LOVED the combo of red, green and grey and the succulents in the arrangements were so striking! Once the ceremony began, Matt could not contain his emotion on seeing his bride for the first time and the tears and smile they both had on their faces for the entire ceremony– these two were SO excited to get married! After the first kiss and celebratory walk up the aisle we did family photos at their ceremony gazebo and bridal party photos around the hotel. This bridal party was so much fun, and we had a blast taking their pictures! After some romantic shots of the newlyweds (including some with a chalkboard we designed to match their invites), it was party time at the reception. Each place setting had a custom candle as a favor– super cute! After the first dance, speeches, and delicious taco lunch it was time for the dancing to begin. Once they had danced and socialized with guests, the new Mr. and Mrs. cut their gorgeous cake. After the bouquet toss and an EPIC garter removal, we took the newlyweds out on to the beach for some sunset shots. Luckily the clouds we had all day started to clear and gave us a little golden hour light! What a great day :D

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
