Jessi & Dominic :: 3-26-2016 :: Wedding in San Juan Capistrano

What an exceptionally wonderful day! Jessi and Dominic started their day getting ready and putting on finishing touches at their venue, El Adobe de Capistrano, a gorgeous and historic restaurant in San Juan Capistrano. After capturing some details and getting ready, we visited the historic Los Rios District for some separate portraits of the bride and groom with their party members. The ceremony followed shortly after and was filled with prayer, scripture, vows and one of the sweetest first looks we've seen in a long time! Family and bridal party portraits followed the ceremony and we were sure to take photos back at the Los Rios District for golden hour portraits. Next it was time for them to be announced at their reception as the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Chaulk! The reception decor featured succulent favors, chalkboard signs, lantern centerpieces, a dessert and sweetheart cake with a cake topper referencing one of Jessi's favorite shows, Doctor Who! Upon entering their reception, the couple went into their first dance, followed by toasts and  a delicious meal. When night fell, everyone danced the night away in-between the father/daughter dance, the shoe game, the garter and bouquet tosses and the cake cutting. This was such a splendid day celebrating such a beautiful and loving couple!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
