Ruth & Dany :: Anniversary Session :: Year Two

Simply put, Ruth and Dany are such a huge blessing in our lives. Ever since we met to photograph their wedding we have gotten closer and closer with these two and basically, we are inseparable. I am so glad that Ruth has wanted to do themed anniversary sessions every year, since they are my favorite to design and photograph! This year, the cotton anniversary Ruth and Dany wanted to put together an elegant tea party themed session with vintage and cotton elements. Raw cotton was used in the decor and floral arrangements (which we designed and created), clothing and decor was made out of cotton, and Ruth had an amazing embroidery custom made by Thistle and Thread Design of Etsy. We did their session at the lush and beautiful Santiago Oaks Regional Park where the light and scenery was perfect, adding to the fun and romantic theme. Cheers to many more years of Ruth and Dany! :D

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
