A & J :: 8-6-2016 :: Wedding in Pasadena

What a beautiful day it was for A and J! These two wed at Neighborhood Universalist Church in Pasadena, adjacent to the historical Gamble House. Their day was traditional mixed with fun and whimsical elements like bright colors and legos! We started out with A getting ready at her and J's apartment in Pasadena. After A had donned her dress from Brides Against Breast Cancer  (lovingly altered by her mom) and added some finishing touches we traveled over to the church for A and J's first look. After some time spent together in the beautiful afternoon sun, we met up with the bridal party and family for some more portraits. Their short and sweet ceremony followed and after some fun moments, laughter and exchange of rings these two were married! Immediately following we took a fun photo of all the guests and then spent some time doing some more extended family shots. Next was cocktail hour where the bride and groom stole away for a few moments together over at the Gamble House and then got to join their party! Once all the guests were seated and the sun had almost set, the bridal party made their grand entrance into the reception, and A and J went right into their first dance, followed by dinner and toasts. All their guests had a blast playing with the legos set up on the tables, some creating some amazing things! Finally, after all the reception events were completed, we stole the newlyweds away from the party for a romantic end of the night shot! It was such a marveous day for such a wonderful couple. We wish them many years of joy and happiness!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
