Heidi & Danny :: 10-29-2016 :: Wedding in La Canada Flintridge

Heidi and Danny had a cloudy, beautiful, fun wedding day! The wedding was held at the historic La Canada Flintridge Thursday Club near the mountains and had a beautiful color palettes of neutrals, pinks and greens. Their wedding centered around some sweet, personal themes: all of the decor and paper goods were handmade by the bride (who is an artist!) and their theme centered around their mutual love for nature, the moon and stars (the groom works for JPL!) and their love of coffee (which is how they met!). Everything was pulled together in such an elegant way, it really was perfect and perfectly them. We started the day by getting some detail and getting ready shots while Heidi and her girls enjoyed themselves.  After everyone was dressed, I took some photos with Heidi and the girls while Tim took some photos with Danny and his groomsmen. Heidi and Danny then exchanged vows in the back courtyard garden of the venue under an arch that Danny built! After the ceremony, we took photos all around the venue and the surrounding area with their bridal party and the newlyweds. Then we headed to the beautifully decorated reception for toasts, a delicious dinner and lots of dancing! The decor included table numbers matching their invites, coffee beans with candles and stunning Chinese lanterns! We had SO much fun at this wedding and it was such a pleasure to be a part of the day! We wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Forgette all the love in the world!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
