Romantic Pantone Colors of 2016 Winter Art Deco Wedding Inspiration

Designed by Erin Hansen Events & Designs and captured by Peterson Design & Photography, this breathtaking wintertime Art Deco themed shoot was inspired by the Pantone Colors of 2016: Rose Quartz, a soft ballerina pink, and Serenity, a delicate sky blue. We aimed to deliver inspiration for the couple who dreams of a romantic and cutting edge wedding with all the glamour of the 1920’s. We placed our shoot against the majestic architecture of the historic Vibiana of Downtown Los Angeles, with stately columns and ornate marble and tile work.

The Rose Quartz and Serenity colors appear throughout in details such as the bride’s striking feather fan, lush pink roses, and blue hydrangeas. The opulent floral design by Empty Vase combined these soft Pantone pastels with cascades of white orchids and pops of deep burgundy to create the perfect winter palette. Elegant sage and dark blue furniture by Sweet Salvage Vintage Rentals produced a warm and lavish setting for cocktails, followed by dancing in the main hall to an antique Victrola. Dappsy Paper Moon Shoppe’s magnificent “Gatsby Moon” served as a gorgeous backdrop for our bride and groom’s romantic ceremony in the garden.

Our bride wore a satin Maggie Sottero gown with intricate beading and a flowing tulle overlay. She looked ethereal in a cathedral-length veil by Malis Henderson and bejeweled light blue shoes by Bella Belle. Crowned with a sparkling headpiece by Bel Aire Bridal and pearl drop earrings by Nefertiti Jewelry, her look epitomized 1920’s sophistication. Her exquisite art deco “Florentina” ring by Brilliant Earth flawlessly completed the ensemble. We displayed it in an extravagant Mrs. Box, lined with sumptuous and shimmering pink velvet.

The bride’s makeup included a subtle smoky-eye and soft pink cheeks and lips, and her lovely dark hair was arranged in a silky vintage updo.

Our handsome groom donned a navy blue, windowpane suit by Combatant Gentlemen, an extremely stylish alternative to the classic black tuxedo. A vintage pocket watch and slicked-back hair perfectly complimented his dapper look, and a silver boutonniere pin by Doctor Gus gave an extra touch of sleekness.

The table was set for two with satin napkins and antique glassware in pink and gold tones. Menu and name cards in an art deco motif by GoGoSnap!, and a sweet single peony at each place setting kept the look luxurious and romantic.

The stunning, three-tier cake was created by Mwokaji Cakery. Their design echoes the Vibiana’s regal marble walls, and gold geometric elements fit perfectly with the art deco theme. Completely dazzling and glamorous, this shoot sets the stage for the quintessential 1920’s wintertime celebration. There’s just so much to love here!
