Minnie & Christopher :: 12-31-2016 :: Wedding in Newport Beach and Santa Ana

Minnie and Christopher are such sweeties together! This day was a long time in the making (almost 10 years to be exact!) and as we learned during the speeches, Minnie was so ready for this day to come that she booked the hotel ballroom for New Years Eve 2016 before these two were even officially engaged. Luckily it all worked out and Chris finally proposed so they could officially start planning their dream day ;) We started out their cold, rainy wedding day at the Avenue of the Arts Hotel in Santa Ana where both Minnie and Chris got ready with their bridesmaids, groomsmen and their two little ones MJ and Carter. After hair and makeup were done, Minnie's maid of honor and MJ helped her get into her gorgeous dress and veil. Chris got ready with his gentlemen and his littlest man, Carter.  After everyone was ready, we all made our way to their church, Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach for the ceremony mass. Once the ceremony was complete we spent some time doing family photos at the church and then headed back to the Avenue of the Arts Hotel for bridal party and newlywed portraits. Next it was time for cocktail hour and reception at the Orange County DoubleTree Hotel. Everything was decked out in gold, black and white, a perfect New Years Eve color scheme! The reception was full of fun details like a customized menus, favors, cake table, and of course, the epic paper flower backdrop painstakingly handmade by the groom! Upon joyfully entering their reception, Minnie and Chris had dinner and then they spent some time greeting, and thanking each of their guests and listening to toasts. After dinner, Minnie danced with her dad and Chris with his mom, both were so incredibly sweet and then they enjoyed their first dance with MJ joining in at the end. After the bouquet, garter toss and cake cutting there was some epic dancing from their amazing guests including some fun selfie taking and epic celebrating at the stroke of midnight! Finally we took them outside for a fun end of the night shot with the transparent umbrella. It was such a tremendous pleasure to be a part of this amazing day!
