Amanda & Trey :: 3-11-2017 :: Wedding in Malibu

When two creatives get married, you have such a beautiful and unconventional wedding! The bridesmaids and families started off their day getting ready together in a super scenic AirBnB up in the hills of Malibu. After details, some getting ready shots and everyone was dressed, Amanda and Trey stole away for a few moments for them to do a first look on the backyard hillside of the home. These two were so sweet and tender once the saw each other in their wedding best and even shed a few tears of joy at one point! After the first look we travelled over to Malibu Creek State Park for some bridal party and bride and groom portraits. After photos were completed we had some time to tour and set up at their beautiful and unique ceremony location, Point Dume Beach in Malibu where luckily the crowds were scarce. Joined by their nearest and dearest, Amanda and Trey exchanged vows and rings and were finally husband and wife! After family portraits, and some more golden hour portraits, we joined the dinner party at The Malibu Cafe where the only formal reception events were a few speeches. The rest of the time was spent eating, drinking and enjoying the company of their loved ones. We had a few moments with the newlyweds to capture some beautiful nighttime shots around The Malibu Cafe including attaching a very special lock to the fence at the cafe. It was such an honor to be a part of this day we are so excited for the new Mr. and Mrs.!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
