Jessica & Shawn :: 5-28-2017 :: Wedding in Laguna Beach

This day was so much fun!! Jessica and Shawn got married on Memorial Day weekend at the fabulous Tivoli Too in Laguna Beach! We started our day with Jessica getting  ready at an AirBnb in Irvine with her bridesmaids and Shawn getting ready at their apartment. After Jessica had donned her beautiful dress and veil, and had some finishing touches by her bridesmaids, we all made the trip over to William Mason Regional Park in Irvine where Jessica and Shawn shared an emotional first look and we took some bridal party portraits. Next we spent some time with the Mr. and Mr.s to-be taking some more portraits in the beautiful afternoon light.  Immediately following we headed to their venue, Tivoli Too to capture the details and set up for both their ceremony and reception. Their garden area was perfect for the exchange of Jessica and Shawn’s vows and after the traditional smashing of the glass, they were officially Mr. and Mrs. Pardo! Once the ceremony was complete, the couple and their guests shared a first toast, they cut their cake and then we did some family portraits, a few more of the bride and groom, and then headed off to party! The reception was full of orchids, twinkle lights and personalized details, it was gorgeous!  Upon joyfully entering their reception, Jessica and Shawn had their first dance qhuckly followed by the father/daughter and mother/son dances. Dinner followed along with toasts and lots of dancing! We snuck the newlyweds out for a fairytale nighttime shot to end our night, it was such a tremendous pleasure to be a part of this amazing day!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
