Mariana & Ian :: 10-13-2017 :: Wedding in Topanga Canyon

The best way to celebrate a Friday the 13th in October? Why an amazing, dark, moody and romantic wedding of course! Mariana and Ian met while working for AAA and on vacation through the company in Hawaii! So romantic to meet your forever partner while in paradise! These two had a beautiful day on a sunny but cool Friday afternoon and evening! Mariana started the day getting ready with her girls in the Hilton Hotel, Woodland Hills. After getting hair done by her amazing friend and bridesmaid Meredith, Mariana donned her amazing backless and sleeved gown with the assistance of her mom and bridesmaids. After everyone was ready we headed to their sweet and secluded venue, the Inn of the Seventh Ray. Nestled among the oaks and alongside a dry river bed, this gorgeous venue was a romantic and intimate place for their I do's! Mariana and Ian shared an emotional first look and then we headed to the back part of the property for bridal party and romantic portraits with the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. After some detail shots the guests were beginning to arrive and it was time for these two to exchange their vows! Under the setting sun and twinkling lights these two proclaimed their love for one another and were officially pronounced man and wife! After some family photos, the party got started with toasts, cake cutting and a few dances before these two ran through an amazingly fun sparkler exit! We had the pleasure of not only photographing this beautiful day, but also designing and creating the bouquets and boutonnieres worn by the bridal party and families!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
