Alicia & Caleb :::: Engagement Session at Laguna Beach
So how sweet are these two?! I met Alicia many years back through church and a mutual friend. She was attending college down in SoCal while originally being from the Santa Rosa area. We kept in touch over the years through social media, and I was so excited when I saw she became engaged!
Alicia and Caleb met like so many couples these days, through an online dating site. While that was their original point of contact, Caleb wasn't able to contact her through the site and had to track her down via Facebook, putting those online stalker skills to good use (you know we all have them, haha)! Through emails and finally meeting face to face, the rest was history. When it got close to their engagement, Alicia knew that Caleb had the ring and would perform "awkward pat downs" looking for it stashed away on Caleb's person during every outing. But for their actual engagement, he managed to keep it a surprise. They took a trek up to a park near the crest in Berkeley where they could see the view of the whole San Francisco Bay. While Alicia was busy taking photos, Caleb got down on one knee and managed to surprise her completely! Hooray!
Even though we are photographing their wedding up in Napa wine country, we weren't sure if we were going to do an engagement session because of the distance between us. But we are so happy they were able to make the trip down to SoCal for a session and some time with friends. We visited our favorite beach in Laguna where the golden hour light was to die for and these two were so sweet and natural in front of the camera. Can't wait for their wedding in September!
