Amanda & Scott :: 5-27-18 :: Wedding in Camarillo

We loved being a part of Amanda and Scott's Memorial Day Weekend wedding! These two are originally from California, but now live in Texas. They wanted to celebrate their special day with friends and family back home so their wedding was here in CA, specifically in Camarillo at Wedgwood Sterling Hills. We started off their beautifully sunny and breezy wedding day at their AirBnb adjacent to the venue where Amanda and Scott both got ready. It was a little strange to see the bride and groom both getting ready in the same space, but it made it so fun! However, after make-up and hair were done and the dress out, the groom was no longer allowed to see the bride until their first look ;) After everyone was dressed, these two did their first look in the backyard of the AirBnb; these two were so sweet and tender once the saw each other in their wedding best, they both laughed and loved how great the other looked!  Next we headed to Malibu Creek State Park with the bridal party for some portraits. After the those were complete we headed back over to their golf club venue and got ready for the ceremony. In the company of their nearest and dearest, these two exchanged vows and rings and were finally husband and wife! After family portraits and a few sunset portraits with the newlyweds, the bridal party and Mr and Mrs. Hallack joined the party and their beautiful ballroom was reception filled with soft, romantic, muted tones and sweet details. The party was full of joyful toasts, emotional first dances and a hilarious cake cutting with a cake smash! We haven't had one of those in a while, it was so funny to watch these two eat icing off each others faces haha! We loved every moment of this wedding and it was such a delight to be a part of this beautiful day!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
