Danielle & Derek :: 9-29-18 :: Wedding in Huntington Beach

Danielle and Derek are such sweeties! We started out their warm and sunny wedding day at the Hyatt Huntington Beach where Danielle got ready with her bridesmaids in their amazing suite! After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Danielle's mom and her girls helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil, shoes and garter. The guys got ready at another hotel and had a blast hanging out and getting their custom wood watch gifts from Derek. There is a gorgeous park adjacent to their venue, the Newland Barn, so after everyone was ready, the the couple had their first look and we took some bridal party photos. After those and the newlywed portraits were done, we all made our way back up to the barn for the ceremony. The Newland Barn is such a lovely and intimate venue, perfect for the exchange of Danielle and Derek's vows. An especially sweet moment was their personalized vows to one another, I don't think there was a dry eye in attendance! Once the ceremony was complete we spent some time capturing family portraits and then headed to the venue's garden for some golden hour shots of the new Mr. and Mrs. Next it was time for the party to begin! The reception was full of fun details like touches of the Eiffel Tower (where they got engaged!), framed engagement photos and adorable signage! Upon joyfully entering their reception, Danielle and Derek had their first dance in the setting sun. Then they spent some time greeting, and thanking each of their guests and listening to toasts. After dinner, Danielle danced with her dad and Derek with his mom, both were so incredibly sweet. After the bouquet and garter toss there was some epic dancing from their amazing guests. It was such a tremendous pleasure to be a part of this amazing day!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
