Maylin & Connor :: 11-3-2018 :: Wedding in La Mirada

Maylin and Conor had such a lovely, fun, laid back and non-traditional wedding day! We started their day at a friend's home where Maylin got dressed and we captured a few detail photos. Next, we packed everything up and headed for Creek Park, which is adjacent to their venue, Redeemer Church in La Mirada. We didn't do a traditional first look since Connor had already seen Maylin in her dress: he actually helped her pick it out! We just went straight into taking some fabulously fun bridal party photos and some fun casual candids  of the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Thomas! Maylin rocked her bridal cape and enjoyed swooshing about throughout our portrait time. Once portraits were complete we went back up to Redeemer Church where we captured some details and some fun shots of Archer the ferret ring bearer! Once it was ceremony time, it was beautiful to see these two commit to a lifetime of love with their closest family and friends! After these two were officially Mr. and Mrs., we took some more photos of the family and bridal party. The epic cape-shedding grand entrance was followed by lunch, Irish car bombs, socializing, cake cutting, and first dances. We had such a pleasure being a part of this beautiful day celebrating love and family on a sunny and cool November morning and afternoon!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
