What to Wear for an Engagement Session!

One of the questions that we get asked the most is what to wear for engagement sessions!  Here's some advice: Be You! You are the subject matter of the photos, so you want to wear something that reflects who you are and what you love.  Wear something you know you look good in, something you feel good in. If you LOVE a specific color, wear that! Dark colors are especially slimming. Don't be afraid of patterns, florals or bright colors but i t is best to stay away from very small or busy patterns.  Think of patterns as an accent and the bigger the better.  If you are going to wear a pattern, have your partner wear a more neutral tone to balance it out. Avoid feeling like you have to "match" unless you are really devoted to the same outfit, in which case, embrace it! We LOVE color! So when in doubt, go colorful! Joan & Carlos :: 8-5-12 :: Wedding in Chino

Joan and Carlos had such a unique and fabulous wedding. They only became engaged right before the fourth of July and decided to get married on a special date, Carlos parents' anniversary. Instead of waiting a year and a month, they decided to plan the wedding in a whole month! There were only 10 people in attendance at the wedding, including the bride and groom, their immediate family and the pastor so it was quite small and beautifully intimate. There were a lot of DIY and homemade elements, including the strawberry vegan cake made by her sister-in-law. They incorporated a superhero and comic book theme into all elements into the wedding, including the decorations and clothing colors, the boutonnieres/corsages which were bottle cap pins with comic book characters and phrases, the invitations (which were more of keepsakes since they didn't have time to mail them) and the cake.
