For Ariana and Julio this isn't a engagement session in the traditional sense since they have already been married for 5 years and have two little boys. However, they are renewing their vows in January on their anniversary! Very sweet! And since they are finally going to have the church wedding that they had always wanted, they wanted some engagement style pictures ahead of time as well.  Despite having a rough start by starting out at the wrong spot on the beach, our session ended up going swimingly! (no pun intended) ;) Because of the unique lighting at the beach, this session ended up having a very vintage quality to the images, which I love :) They are a wonderful couple and we enjoyed our time together!  Click any image to launch a larger viewing window. Vanessa and Cache are great! They are a cute couple who met online a year or so ago (it works folks!), got engaged not too long ago in Belize, and are getting married next summer. All of us being lovers of desert plants, we took advantage of the arboretum's lovely desert plant offerings :) In fact, for the ring close up, I tucked it in the unfolding leaf of an agave plant which came out so cool! They also brought a fun, vintage style 35mm film camera that Tim snapped a few pictures with (let me know how those pictures turn out guys!). The light was fabulous that day, giving us patches of shade with storm clouds and glorious afternoon sun. We discovered a few areas of the arboretum we hadn't been to before, especially a beautiful covered archway.
