Traci & Brian :: 3-1-2014 :: Wedding in San Juan Capistrano

Even rain could not stop Traci and Brian's day going off without a hitch and in the end, they were hitched! We started off our day at Traci's sister's gorgeous house in San Juan Capistrano for some detail and getting ready pictures featuring Traci's silly niece and Traci's beautiful dress. We then headed to their venue, the El Adobe Restaurant where Traci and Brian did their first look. Their adorable faces peeking around that door made my day! The rain decided to take a break just as we headed over to the San Juan Capistrano Mission with Traci and Brian and their bridal party (consisting of Traci's sister, her niece and Brian's brother). After exploring this gorgeous setting together, we headed back to the El Adobe for the ceremony. Just as the ceremony was set to begin the rain started to come down again. As Traci joined Brian (indoors, thankfully!) at the altar, a huge burst of thunder rattled the building! After some laughter, these two exchanged vows and rings and were officially wed! After taking some indoor family photos the newlyweds headed back to the reception for their first dance and dinner. After the toasts, the bride and groom played the "Shoe Game" where they exchanged shoes and the DJ asked a series of questions about who does what in their relationship. The bride and groom answered by holding up the shoe of the person they each thought was the best answer to the question asked. It made for some hilarious moments! After some dancing, they cut the cake and once everyone had eaten it the dancing and fun continued :) We had such a wonderful time photographing this beautiful wedding!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
