Marissa & Nathan :: Day-After Wedding Session :: Santiago Oaks Regional Park

Marissa and Nathan wanted to do a day-after session at a woodsy and lush location where we would be able to take more variety of photos then we could on their wedding day. So naturally we thought of beautiful Santiago Oaks in Orange where we have done several stunning sessions. We had plenty of time on the wedding day to take portraits of the newlyweds but they wanted even more time to relax and enjoy being together as bride and groom while also taking some more beautiful pictures. These two love photographs and so it was my pleasure to take photos of them once again!  They wanted the session to reflect the nature theme of their wedding while also having a vintage feel so we incorporated some themed props (both mine and theirs!) including a chalkboard sign where I wrote out their wedding theme "Forever and Always, Est. 2015" in beautiful script, wood scrabble tiles on a wood slice, a pink pennant banner, a live flower bouquet that I made where I incorporated her wedding day bouquet with the addition of some more flowers and succulents (I'm a wanna-be florist! ;)) and she wore one of my newly designed flower crowns. We also used some decor from their wedding: their gold M & N from the gift table, their Mr. and Mrs. signs from the sweetheart table and a gold glitter heart from the dessert table for us to photograph with their rings. In addition, we also surprised these two by bringing along a pack of Polaroids to add to the vintage vibe of our session. We had such a fun session exploring the canyons and taking some more elegant and romantic shots of these two. We LOVE day-after sessions and hope to do more in the future!
