Kelly & Joshua :: 2-6-2015 :: Wedding in Laguna Beach

The amount of cuteness from Kelly and Joshua was just overwhelmingly good :) This day was so unconventional in so many ways! The entire bridal party started off their day getting ready together in a single suite at the Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach. It was a little strange to see the bride and groom both getting ready in the same space, but it made it so fun! However, after make-up and hair were done, the groom was no longer allowed to see the bride until their first look ;) While Kelly was getting laced into her dress we were treated to a sea lion making his way up onto the beach to say hi! It was such a cute moment! These two decided to keep things practical and comfy by having everyone in their wedding wear Converse shoes with the bride wearing some gorgeous teal Converse and the groom and groomsmen wearing black on black Converse. After everyone was dressed, Kelly and Josh stole away for a few moments for them to do a first look. These two were so sweet and tender once the saw each other in their wedding best and even did a few jumps for joy at one point! After the first look we travelled over to a woodsy area of Laguna Canyon for some bridal party and bride and groom portraits. After photos were completed we had some time to tour and set up at their beautiful and unique venue, Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach. After the sun set, these two exchanged vows and rings and were finally husband and wife! After family portraits, the bridal party and newlyweds joined the party and their beautiful tented reception filled with twinkle lights and wonderful purple uplighting. Their reception was full of joyful toasts, emotional first dances and sweet cake cutting. We loved every moment of this wedding and it was such a delight to not only photograph this beautiful day but we also designed Kelly and Joshua's invitation suite.

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
