Ruth & Dany :: Anniversary Session :: Year One

What can I say about these two? Ever since their engagement session and wedding we have gotten closer and closer with this sweet couple and we are so privileged to be in their lives! Ruth and Dany got married one year to the day of our anniversary session! For their session we incorporated the traditional first anniversary gift of paper throughout their photos. We used a paper flower bouquet made by DreamLikeTrees on Etsy, a paper flower boutonniere made by Ruth, a gorgeous tissue tassel banner by Gen Woo, a white paper umbrella, bio-degradable paper confetti (also made by Ruth and Dany!) and we took polaroids (which of course print out on film paper!). Finally, these two love birds looked through and read some of their old love letters from when they were dating. Cue the awwwws ;) Together we explored the downtown Claremont area making stops at the historic train station and Claremont Colleges and these were the perfect backdrop for a bright, fun, colorful session full of love and laughter, and of course, paper!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
