Lauren & Jason :: 10-17-2015 :: Wedding in Laguna Beach & Fullerton

The amount of cuteness from Lauren and Jason was just overwhelmingly good :) We have the distinct pleasure of being good friends with these two and it was such an honor not only to photograph their day, but to also design the bouquet and boutonnieres for the groom and parents. This day was so lovely and unconventional in so many ways! The bride and groom started off their day at 7am getting ready together with Lauren's sister Constance in a single suite at The Ranch at Laguna Beach. It was so fun to see them both getting ready in the same space, and Jason helped Lauren into her dress while Lauren helped Jason with his finishing touches! After everyone was ready, we travelled across the street to their ceremony site at Victoria Beach for some portraits of the bride and groom. After a while, the small group of guests they had invited arrived and at 10ish, it was time for the short and sweet ceremony to start! After a few short remarks on marriage, these two exchanged vows, rings, hi-fives and their first kiss! Mr. and Mrs. Sipp were official! We took a group photo of everyone and then spent some time taking some family shots in the beautiful morning light. After photos were completed we drove back to our neck of the woods in Fullerton to their reception at Hillcrest Park. Champagne and crepes were served for a brunch style reception (provided by the amazing Crepes Bonaparte!) and the newlyweds spend their reception time socializing and enjoying the company of their wonderful family and friends. It was such a delight and pleasure to be a part of this amazing day and we are so happy for our fantastic friends!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
