Kathy and Gio are so sweet together! They have known each other since high school and they have a one and a half year old son named Nathan :) They chose to do their engagement session at the Orange Circle because they both grew up in the area and still live close by. Plus, it is such a fun, quirky downtown space! Kathy and I have been emailing since January and the session was originally planned for February but do to various reasons it had to be postponed a couple of times, so it was SO good to finally meet them both and spend a fun afternoon together. Katie and Rene are some of the first people last year that signed up with me to do their wedding photography before I had really even started shooting weddings. So being a part of their day was really special :) Their wedding was at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point which is high up on a hill overlooking the ocean, and for their reception we moved to Cannon's Restaurant which is right on the cliff facing Dana Point's harbor. The views at both locations were incredible! Even though we had just had torrential rain the day before and we were afraid it might rain that day, the weather was perfect! Not too warm, not too cold. Katie and Rene's wedding was definitely about family. Katie's bridesmaids were her sisters, Rene's groomsmen were his brothers and his nephew Noah was their ring bearer.
