Kelsey and Robbie had such a beautiful wedding day at the Katie Wheeler Library and the surrounding Irvine Ranch! We had perfect weather, a gorgeous venue, and a wonderful couple! Our day started out with Kelsey getting ready. We documented all the beautiful details including her stunningly beautiful wedding dress, to which she had elegant lace and sleeves added. After Kelsey's mom and twin sister had helped her get dressed, she took a peek outside to see Robbie who had just arrived. She was overwhelmed with joy and shed happy tears upon seeing him! Next was their first look near the side of the historic ranch house (now a library) where there were some more happy tears :) After we took family and bridal party photos it was time for the ceremony. Kelsey and Robbie exchanged vows of love in front of the gazebo in the middle of the property. After the ceremony (and one of my favorite first-kiss photos yet!) we spent some time with the bride and groom in the ranch's lovely orang...
Our first to two weddings this year and boy oh boy was it a good one (despite the unseasonably warm heat!). Sasha and Brenden tied the knot at the stunning Muckenthalar Mansion , just a few miles from our home! Our day with the couple started with their first look, wedding party and couple's portraits. Before we knew it, it was ceremony time. After one of the quickest (but sweetest!) ceremonies ever, featuring a "first shot" of tequila, these two were officially official! After family photos and some detail shots it was time to party. During the reception their guests enjoyed dinner, speeches, cake cutting, parent dances and creating a custom work of abstract art for the couple to hang in their home! Once the dance floor was opened with a giant group shot, we stole the couple away for some magical golden hour photos at the end of our time with them. A beautiful end for a stunning day! Katie and Rene are some of the first people last year that signed up with me to do their wedding photography before I had really even started shooting weddings. So being a part of their day was really special :) Their wedding was at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point which is high up on a hill overlooking the ocean, and for their reception we moved to Cannon's Restaurant which is right on the cliff facing Dana Point's harbor. The views at both locations were incredible! Even though we had just had torrential rain the day before and we were afraid it might rain that day, the weather was perfect! Not too warm, not too cold. Katie and Rene's wedding was definitely about family. Katie's bridesmaids were her sisters, Rene's groomsmen were his brothers and his nephew Noah was their ring bearer. Most family members were involved with the ceremony and Katie's mom also made their fabulous cake. This is also the second wedding where we took pola...
