Dorrie & Chris :: 10-25-2104 :: Wedding in Pasadena
Dorrie and Chris' day was simply lovely! We first met these two over a year ago when we did their engagement session, save the date and finally, their entire invitation suite including table numbers and table thank you cards. Dorrie's vision for her day included classic and elegant (with touches of vintage) which fit in perfectly with their amazing venue, the Maxwell House in Pasadena! Dorrie did so many of the wedding details herself (she is a big DIYer!) and things she couldn't do herself she found on Etsy or utilized the skills of talented friends. Their wedding day started out with us capturing some details and getting ready moments (including Tim photographing my hands putting on Chris' boutonniere!) :) Dorrie and Chris wanted to take all of their portraits before the ceremony, so we picked the front entrance of the Maxwell House for their super cute first look! We took photos all around the Maxwell House property and then met up with the bridal party and family for some more portraits in front of the house. The ceremony took place inside the house with minimal decor, allowing the beauty of the house to serve as their backdrop. Dorrie's wonderful matron of honor Devon, a classically trained opera singer, performed a piece as part of the ceremony. Once the ceremony was over, the newly married couple joined their guests for socializing during cocktail hour and then were announced into the reception as the new Mr and Mrs Kelly! After toasts and an amazing pasta bar dinner it was time to head back inside for dancing and dessert. This group really knew how to party and we got some amazing dancing shots! :) We are so honored to have been a part of this beautiful day and we wish these two many happy years!
