We love these two! Kelly and Joshua met at Starbucks over 3 years ago and got engaged on the beach last November. They have so much fun together and we love spending time talking with them, in fact at our first meeting we spent almost three hours talking :D For their engagement session we went to the beautiful Heritage Park in Santa Fe Springs which features a historic greenhouse, windmill and orange grove. It is an absolutely gorgeous location! When we were talking about what feel they wanted for their engagement session, Kelly inspired me to create some flower crowns as a beautiful additional prop. She is my first client to wear one and I am so excited to be providing them as an option to my brides (I am even making a custom one for a bride next year!). We also used one of my other favorite props, the chalkboard heart. We are SO excited to shoot their wedding next year! Click any image to launch a larger viewing window. Enjoy! ...
Our first to two weddings this year and boy oh boy was it a good one (despite the unseasonably warm heat!). Sasha and Brenden tied the knot at the stunning Muckenthalar Mansion , just a few miles from our home! Our day with the couple started with their first look, wedding party and couple's portraits. Before we knew it, it was ceremony time. After one of the quickest (but sweetest!) ceremonies ever, featuring a "first shot" of tequila, these two were officially official! After family photos and some detail shots it was time to party. During the reception their guests enjoyed dinner, speeches, cake cutting, parent dances and creating a custom work of abstract art for the couple to hang in their home! Once the dance floor was opened with a giant group shot, we stole the couple away for some magical golden hour photos at the end of our time with them. A beautiful end for a stunning day! Kelsey and Robbie had such a beautiful wedding day at the Katie Wheeler Library and the surrounding Irvine Ranch! We had perfect weather, a gorgeous venue, and a wonderful couple! Our day started out with Kelsey getting ready. We documented all the beautiful details including her stunningly beautiful wedding dress, to which she had elegant lace and sleeves added. After Kelsey's mom and twin sister had helped her get dressed, she took a peek outside to see Robbie who had just arrived. She was overwhelmed with joy and shed happy tears upon seeing him! Next was their first look near the side of the historic ranch house (now a library) where there were some more happy tears :) After we took family and bridal party photos it was time for the ceremony. Kelsey and Robbie exchanged vows of love in front of the gazebo in the middle of the property. After the ceremony (and one of my favorite first-kiss photos yet!) we spent some time with the bride and groom in the ranch's lovely orang...
