Aracely & Jimmie :: 7-10-2015 :: Wedding in Huntington Park and Santa Fe Springs

Aracely and Jimmie had such a lovely day! We started their day at Ara's home in Hawaiian Gardens where the bride and her family got ready. After some detail shots including some of the bride's gorgeous pearl lined gown, Tim traveled over to the spot where the guys were getting ready and Jimmie was toasted by his groomsmen! After Ara was finished getting dressed with the assistance of her mom, we packed everything up and headed for the church. The ceremony mass was held at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Huntington Park. It was beautiful to see these two commit to a lifetime of love with their closest family and friends contributing to the mass through readings and assistance. After these two were officially Mr. and Mrs., we next headed to their reception site, the lovely Heritage Park Santa Fe Springs where we took some family, bridal party and bride and groom shots around the gorgeous grounds. I made the newlyweds a chalkboard with the word corazon (Spanish for heart) as it is something that Jimmie started calling Ara very early in their relationship. So sweet! The grand entrance was followed by a special song by Ara which was then followed by the first dance, father/daughter and mother/son dances. After the cake cutting it was time for the party to really get started as everyone danced on into the night! It was such a delight to be a part of this day from designing the invitations to photographing the big day and we wish all the joy and happiness in the world to Mr. and Mrs. Davalos!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
