Natalie & Scott :::: Engagement Session in Laguna Beach

Natalie and Scott are the cutest! These two met through friends as they had the same circle of friends way back in high school! They got engaged while wine tasting in Temecula when Scott had secretly arranged for their families to be there to congratulate them. Up in a special tasting room with a view of the whole Temecula valley, Scott popped the question and of course Natalie said yes! For their engagement session we braved the cooler temperatures down in beautiful Laguna Beach. These two brought along their six month old black lab Utah and he was really the star of every photo he was in! The light was so beautiful and these two have such a naturally tender energy between them that was a joy to capture. I loved that they brought some fun and elegant picnic props (champagne anyone?!), and the chalkboard sign we made fit in well to the overall feel of the photos. We are so excited for these two and can't wait for their wedding next July!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
