Camila & Chris :: 9-4-16 :: Wedding in Hawthorne

This day was so unbelievably beautiful! Camila and Chris got married on a warm sunny day at the gorgeous Ayres Hotel in Hawthorne and they really meshed their nature/bohemian/Tuscan theme easily with this gorgeous location! Their colors were purple green, and ivory and they were elegantly dispersed throughout the decor and attire of the day. Our day began with some detail and getting ready shots. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Camila to design and create the flower crowns that she and her flower girl wore, her bouquet and Chris' boutonniere and it was so exciting to finally see them on the big day! After everyone was dressed, Camila and Chris snuck over to a quiet place for a sweet first look, we took some portraits around the property.  It was such a sweet moment :) Bridal party portraits followed (including a fun idea they had to take one goofy shot of each party member!)  and then it was time for the ceremony! After a sweet ceremony including a sand ceremony and skipping exit, family photos went quickly and the newlyweds joined their cocktail hour. Next it was time for them to be announced at their reception as the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Biezad! The reception decor featured flowers and a succulent adorned ombre cake! Upon entering their reception, the couple had dinner and toasts followed by their first dance and dances with parents. After the cake cutting we finished off our photos with an end of the night shot up on the balcony! This was such a splendid day celebrating such a beautiful and loving couple!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
