Harmony & Ernie :: 9-22-2017 :: Wedding in Agoura Hills

What a lively and colorful day it was for Harmony and Ernie! These two are so much fun and wanted their wedding to reflect their laid back personalities. The theme of the day centered around their splashes bright colors and their love for food and frivolity! Their venue, the Agoura Hills Recreation Center was a perfect blank slate with modern touches of wood, metal and stone and their fabulous planner Holly Gray was able to apply her magical colorful touches to create a wonderful and chill reception environment. We started out with Harmony's details and her getting ready on location in the upstairs bridal suite. After Harmony had donned her beautiful dress and veil, and had some finishing touches by her bridesmaids, she and Ernie shared a sweet first look. We decided to then ditch the veil due to some wind gusts and then we met up with the super fun bridal party for some portraits in the garden area of the venue. Then we spent some time with Harmony and Ernie, finishing up with some fun photos with their one year old Storm! Their short and sweet ceremony followed and after some fun moments, laughter, exchange of rings, these two were married, again! After cocktail hour and socializing the bridal party made their grand entrance into the reception and shared a tequila shot with their guests! After dinner and speeches, H and E went right into their first dance, followed by a parents dance (where Harmony danced with Storm and Ernie with his sweet mom!) cake and freshly made donuts. Finally, after all the reception events were completed, we stole the newlyweds away from the party for a romantic end of the night shot at on the recreation center's lawn :) It was such a marveous day for such a wonderful couple, and we wish them many years of joy and happiness!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
