Amy & Nick :: 7/14/19 :: Wedding in Newport Beach

Amy and Nick had such a wonderfully amazing day! With a vintage theme and tons of incredibly talented friends, their wedding day was quite a special event! We started their day at separate hotels where Amy and Nick got ready. After some detail shots, Amy finished getting dressed with the assistance of her mom and bridesmaids and we packed everything up and headed for the lovely Noguchi Garden. There in this hidden gem, the couple had their first look, and we took some bridal party and bride and groom shots around the gorgeous grounds. Next we headed to the Newport Beach American Legion where Amy and Nick became Mr. and Mrs. Nuss. It was beautiful to see these two commit to a lifetime of love with their closest family and friends! After some more portraits, the newlyweds made their grand entrance which was followed by dancing, food, speeches and our favorite part: the live big band! It't not often that you get to see the incredible talents of so many people in one room! From the trumpet playing groom to the opera singing bride, every moment of the wedding festivities was filled with incredible music. We had such a pleasure being a part of this beautiful day and we had the pleasure of not only photographing the day but also designing and crafting the personal florals carried by the bridal party. Many happy years to this musical duo!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
