Sarah + Clay :::: Engagement Session in DTLA

When I say we had so. much. fun. with Sarah and Clay, I mean it! These two met in college while doing improv at a comedy festival. They hung out a few times long distance, as they were each living on opposite coasts-- LA + NYC. Sarah invited Clay to her 10 year HS reunion, and that combined with flying out for her birthday was their first official outing as a dating couple. From there, the rest is history! They have been together for 11 years and got engaged NYE 2020 when they visited the corner where they had their first real conversation about dating-- so sweet right?

For their session visited Clay's photo studio in the flower/garment district in DTLA. We set up some fun photo color papers, had fun with colorful confetti, balloons and board games and then ended our session up on the rooftop of the building with wine and the LA skyline at golden hour. What more could you ask for? We can't wait for these two to get hitched and Marisa is so excited to be spending her birthday capturing their special day!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
