Whitney + Jaro :: 1/16/2022 :: Wedding in Long Beach

Our first wedding of the year that was supposed to be our last wedding of last year...is finally here! Things got changed around last minute but we are so excited that W+J finally got to have their day!

The theme of the day centered around an aviation, romantic and geometric vibe with touches of blush, burgundy and mauve with exquisite florals. Their venue, The Modern in Long Beach, was a perfect setting to apply all their extra touches. We started out with Whitney's details and getting ready at a nearby hotel. After Whitney had donned her beautiful  gown and Jaro was suited up in he had some Yogurtland delivered to the hotel just before the first look-- a special and sentimental treat! We did their first look, wedding party and some portraits right next to The Modern at OCR Avaition's hangar and it was such a delight to take photos in such a unique place! After some more photos at the venue,  their sweet ceremony followed and was filled with laughter, vows exchange of rings, and finally these two were officially married! After some more family portraits and golden hour portraits these two made their grand entrance into the reception, for their first dance and dinner! Parent Dances, the Money Dance and the cake cutting followed and then in their thank you speech, Jaro did a magic trick with his ring! So fun! Near the end of our coverage time, we stole the newlyweds away from the party for a romantic end of the night shot at the venue's terrace.  It was such a marveous day for such a wonderful couple, and we wish them many years of joy and happiness!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
