Ben & Rob :::: Engagement Session in Los Angeles

We had such a fun day with these two! For their session we did a grand day out with a tour of some amazing DTLA spots. We started at Grand Central Market for a brunch coffee and sandwich, followed up by even more classic brunch foods-- oysters and candy haha! Next, we journeyed across the street for a quick jaunt up (and then back down) Angel's Flight. After a dapper outfit change, we explored the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, forever one of the coolest places to do photos. And after one more iconic outfit change, we headed down to the Arts District for some colorful murals (and dancing!) pie at The Pie Hole, and finally sunset magic on the 1st Street Bridge. Ben and Rob were troopers throughout this long day and you can see how much they exude joy and love throughout their photos. We cannot wait for their big day in October, it promises to be filled with so so much love!

Side note: we love doing these epic, all day styled engagement sessions with Holly Gray of Anything But Gray Events (we could not have pulled this off without her!) and can't wait to do more in the future!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
