Nikita + Adam :: 3/20/22 :: Wedding in Thousand Oaks

Nikita and Adam’s wedding was simply wonderful! These two got married with 30 folks in attendance at Willow Bend section of Conejo Creek Park in Thousand Oaks. This is a significant place for them: they spend much of their early dating time there, became “official” there, and even had their first kiss at this park. Sooooo cool! The park was in full spring bloom which fit perfectly with their romantic wildflower aesthetic for the event. We arrived early for some detail photos (including a bunch of their incredible florals by Blaire Kimball Design) and then it was time for their wonderful ceremony which included a saging of the couple, such a sweet tradition to incorporate. They also live streamed their ceremony on Facebook for additional guests to attend virtually. Once they were officially Mr. and Mrs., it was time for a quick cake cutting and a few speeches! After that is was all photo time, first with family, then wedding party then the couple. We ended our time with these two on their favorite bench where they shared their first kiss, and then captured their private first dance as the sun started to set. We loved spending the afternoon with these sweet families and this wonderful couple and wish them many many years together!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
